Shaping the future of children (0-5years) through perception and experience

Our Rationale:

Early childhood (birth to 5 years) is a key period of mental and emotional growth, what children perceive and experience during this time, can shape their future.

Our Objective:

We want to be the catalyst for change by influencing the most critical stage of a childís development positively to create well-rounded and emotionally healthy individuals of the future.

Our Strategy:

We are advocating for the creation of a platform for delivering simple social support to families during the early years of the child’s life from 0-5years. This will start in Nigeria and gradually grow across Africa.

Why The First
5 Years of Child Development
Are So Important

While no two children develop on the same timeline, there are sensitive periods in which major developmental milestones are reached. Early childhood experiences from birth to age 5 affect the development of the brain’s architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning, behavior and health.

A strong foundation helps children develop the skills they need to become well-functioning adults.

Friendships become more and more important. Physical, social, and mental skills develop quickly at this time. This is a critical time for children to develop confidence in all areas of life, such as through friends, schoolwork, and sports.

Recognizing Cultural Influences on Child Development

Culture can affect how children build values, language, belief systems, and an understanding of themselves as individuals and as members of society.
